Who is that chef?

Who am I? Isn’t that the million dollar question… here’s my self-love blurb that has (barely) anything to do with cooking:

I’m Caet. Hi.

I’m 27, living in Atlantic Canada, and loving the life that I live. I work for a Pilates and Pole Dance studio, and absolutely adore my job and coworkers. I have two kittens that I adore, the littlest one is my taste tester (he waits anxiously for me to “drop” something from the counters haha!) and the older one is a rare celiac cat so I’m debating on learning to make grain-free cat food – stay tuned!

I started baking when I was super little, my Nanabear would let me help her in the kitchen. My earliest memories involve making chocolate chip cookie dough and mixing it by hand (which I still do to this day, hence why my chocolate chip cookies are the best in the world!)

I took half a year of a baking and pastry arts course, but had to drop out due to personal family issues. I’ve since decided that I love baking too much to want to do it as a profession – it seems too much like work that way.

My best friend is a self-professed “healthy vegan”, a recent development, which inspires me to recreate cherished recipes that fit her new dietary regime. You’ll see me get really excited when I find an awesome vegan recipe! She’s also expecting her first child in September, so expect to see a plethora of baby-food and random pregnancy craving recipes soon!

I try to update the blog at least once a month – but sometimes life just gets in the way. Sometimes I wake up in the middle of the night with an amazing recipe idea – that’s when you’ll start seeing post and post and post!
